This five day training course, required under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, is designed for individuals working at uncontrolled hazardous waste cleanup sites. This course provides the required 40 hours of instruction which includes hands-on exercises to allow participants the opportunity to become familiar and comfortable with the equipment and procedures.
Employees working with general waste site who may be exposed to hazardous substances (equipment operators, laborers, supervisory personnel), voluntary or emergency clean up operations, workers responsible for cleaning, storage or disposal of hazardous materials, should take this course.

Cost and renewal: This in-person HAZWOPER 40 course costs $600 and includes all required training materials. Your HAZWOPER certification is valid for 1 year, after which an annual 8-hour refresher is required to stay compliant.
